Σεμινάριο Σύγχρονου Χορού με την Chisato Ohno

Φέρνοντας τις επιρροές της από τις συνεργασίες της με τις ομάδες Nederlands Dans Theater 2, Batseva Dance Company-Ohad Naharin, & άλλους χορογράφους, η Chisato Ohno έρχεται στο στούντιο Χορός Κίνηση Ρυθμός για ένα εντατικό σεμινάριο.

The workshop will be a research designed to access an expanding range of physicality through the imagery of sensation. Encouraging instinctive movement, emphasizing quality and texture. The very physical approach will be used to warm up the mind and body, putting priority into connecting to each individual’s unique movement style. Encouraging the participants to break out from regular habits, inspiring the body into new movement.

In some ways, the sensation of movement becomes more important than the dance you show. In the workshop we will seek to experience this distinction mainly through improvisation, utilizing the many methods and influences that Chisato has gained over the years working with various Artists.

Chisato Ohno

Chisato was a member of Netherlands Dans Theater 2 where she performed works by Jiri Kylian, Hans van Manen, Johan Inger, Paul Lightfoot, Gideon Obarzanek and many others. She continued to the Batsheva Dance Company where over seven years she took part in new creations and performed many works of Ohad Naharin. She then joined Karas Company of Saburo Teshigawara for two premieres and tours of other repertory. She returned to London and has been teaching Gaga since 2005 and joined the faculty at London Contemporary Dance School in 2013.
